Okay...wow, 14 years DA? And I've been a member for almost 4 of em wowww

But like many others, I do have a story on how I came to be who I am through DA, so here we go~

I first joined back in October of 2010, after hearing my twin talking about it over dinner one night. She had been a member for several months already, and the way she talked about it made it sound like fun.

The bad thing? I WAS A HORRIBLE ARTIST WITH A HORRIBLE ATTITUDE



This was my very very first piece of digital art...*cringes* 

But hey, it was just the beginning.

I started becoming more active around DA a month later, submitting my stuff to groups and commenting on things. And through that, I made my very first DA friends (some of which I have fallen out with and some of which I am still in touch with) But it was very important time because I started studying other people's arts and realized just what I was doing wrong. I began to draw tidier and got better at coloring (eventually gaining SAI) I'd show you what I drew, butttt most of it is deleted, oops :'D 

When 2011 hit, I was determined to get better. And I did! I jumped from this



To that. Under a year. Wow

It was a huge time of personal growth and discovery though. I got myself into a ton of drama that year regarding my behavior on the site and how I portrayed my characters. I made a lot of friends and lost others. And I also fell into depression sometime during the late fall. Even so, 2011 marked a huge landmark for me. 

2012 was a very rough year. I was battling depression for nearly 3/4 of it until I finally cut the problems that were causing it and started to feel better. (These days, I am pretty well, so I guess I can say I'm cured) 

It was another giant art jump. I went from this



To that. It was another big art year in me learning new styles (I owe it to Madoka Magica for me getting into a more animeish shiny style though) I also owe up to Pokemon a lot-playing it gave me art inspiration and probably saved me from quitting life altogether. My ocs also developed and grew more and got more appreciated. 

2013 was a year in which I was feeling MUCH better and was one of the happiest ones I had experienced in a while. I was in a good spot with my friends and was kept plenty busy, especially when I started college in August later on!

To that. I was kinda disappointed. 

That year also marked when I got into the Mother series! A VERY important time. That series has easily been the most influential on my attitude and creativity since the Zelda series gahhh. 2013 was the very last year I used the mouse to draw....

....Cause in 2014, I got a tablet! It's not over yet, but my art has made a GIANT leap in improvement.




This has been another good year so far <3 I've made plenty of self discoveries about myself, turned 18, and overall became a bit of a better person. 

But really, I don't know where I would be without Deviantart. It has helped me improve my artwork, help me keep in touch with friends, help me grow as a person, just everything...
